    he's looking for start x windows using cygwin
    If anyuone knows, could they post and i'll send it to him?

    If he runs the cygwin setup.exe, the options for installing the X modules should be listed. Details here - http://x.cygwin.com/ should have all necessary information.

    The OP's question isn't too clear but if you mean literally where is 'start x' for cygwin (post-installation) then try ..

    C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin\startxwin.bat
