    He's only 6 weeks old and I gave him that name :p. The colouring is called blue merle and it's a defect gene colour.

    He is a Great Dane and even though the merle is described as a "defect" colour, this doesnt affect their ability to be fantastic pets. I have two (a blue merle and a merlequin) and wouldnt swap them for the finest of show dogs!

    Yes, he is a GD and I didn't say *defect colour* I wrote defect gene colour :). Merle factor can cause alot of illness with deafness being one of them. Like Dane I am not fussed :). A dog is a dog!
