Ben Thatcher is due to make his return for man city on Monday night .
Apparently he is fit and ready, according to his manager , the aptly named Psycho.
I hope he gets the reception his talents deserve , and then takes a long holiday in Portsmouth .

thats it -- he should have got 6 months for the assault, not the miserly couple of games -- he brings absolutly nothing to the game , except an aggressive/nasty element !

I'm not a Thatcher fan by any means but I'm a City fan and considering how we've been playing recently any player returning to the squad is a good thing, whether it's Ireland and Onouha from injury or Thatcher from his ban.

He served the ban and I can't really see it happening again after how much this put him in the spotlight. He's never been a great player but when you're playing as bad a we are I'll take all the help we can get.

its not a jibe at city , being an evertonian,my allegiance lies to the blue half of manchester as well, but it would be fairly sad if you are relying on Ben Thatcher to keep you up !
anyway hope you stay up , and then get shot of mr. thatcher , to the lower leagues where he belongs !

I never said we were relying on him. He adds some competition for left back i.e. Stephen Jordan will actually have to start playing well now that we have someone who can play in his position, the same way Distin or Dunne will have Onouha breathing down their necks.

He has served his punishment and i am sure regrets his actions, he has to live with his actions as well as the stick he will receive off people for the rest of his career, everything he does now will be scrutinized
