Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Komplett have it.

It is OEM, but you can buy it on its own without H/W....

Edit: Its is only available as OEM, from Wikipedia "Because of strict hardware requirements, Microsoft has opted not to sell Media Center as an independent retail version. Microsoft only distributes it to MSDN subscribers and OEM System Builders in certain countries. Consumers generally purchase Media Center preinstalled on a new computer, or from a reseller that sells OEM versions of Microsoft software."

Something wrong with the OEM version?

Its OEM only im afraid, for the reasons above. You should have no problems getting it off komplett if you buy hardware on the same order to satisfy the licence requirements.

Not so it would seem.....from the komplett site.

"The product can now be bought seperately (not together with hardware) if it is used in your own assembled PC"

Geexbox is great except its lacking one major feature compared to MCE. The ability to run windows binaries :) The PPC port is great for using macs as frontends though.

This reply is more for the general audiance, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you about WINE which will allow many, but by no means all windows binaries to run on Linux.
IE7 still has a ways to go yet http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/news/33
    or VM or colinux etc.

Yea, WINE or CEDEGA, it's replacement are one way of going about it. I dont think its an alternative to having an M$ OS for most people though.
