    Hey all,

I've got a problem with the water in my house, the house is 7 years old and I have my own water filtration system for an on-site well. The problem is that there is a buildup of black scum on the walls of the attic water tank and in the toilet cisterns. I got the water tested and it seems to be fine.. but the black scum is causing the pipes to block...

If anyone has encountered a problem like this before could they let me know what it is... any help would be appreciated.

    Thanking you....

This is a stab in the dark but it could be charcoal from the filtering system which is slowly leaking out of it over time.
