    My girlfriend is looking at buying this as her first car. Insurance is fine. Just wondering if anybody has dealt with or heard of this dealer before? And what ye think of the car itself

    No idea about the dealer ...

    The car: If (the usual big if) the mileage is correct ...not too bad. Serviced and new NCT is always good. Service history would be better still. Make sure to get a much better price if it has none.

    Doubt that it has a driver's airbag, even though the ad says so. Most likely has no power steering either and fairly heavy (to operate) brakes.
    Make sure herself drives it first and feels comfy with it. Without PS, the heavy brakes and the sluggish engine, the Golf can be a fairly cumbersome vehicle ...especially for a beginner.
