    ...And how are you doing?

I've finally settled as Nottm Forest in League One, and I'm 6 points clear at the top after 36 games. Did fairly average in the cups, lost to Wigan on penalties in the League Cup 2nd Round and 4-1 Sunderland (very disappointing) in the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Have signed a fair few players but am planning a big clear-out at the end of the season to make way for some more new arrivals. Key player has been Andy Robinson, signed from Swansea, who has had 10 MOTM's and scored and created quite a few goals. Hoping to get his best mate Trundle soon too. Signed Teddy Sheringham in the January window and he's banged in a few cool finishes to keep my promotion campaign going. I'm finally hooked!

Picked West Ham. Started with a 1.8mil transfer kitty :/ So, didn't buy anyone at the start.

Long term injuries to important players at the start - Green, Ashton, McCartney, Beneyoun.

Played a counter-attacking 5-3-2 formation and started very poorly and as in the bottom 6 for the first 1/3 of the season. Criticised for my negative tactics by the fans :)

Had to sell come Janruary to get in some spending money. Didn't want to sell Mascherano as 80% of his fee goes to Corinthians  But no such clause with Tevez so sold him for 18mil to Inter. So i was able to bring in the Russian sweeper Ignasovich plus youngsters Renato Augusto & Cardenas

Finally started to play well and finished 6th in the league. I think the key to it was in the A. Manager's Team Report where he says how well the team play as a unit - it took the best part of a season for it to go from something like "Players are confused with the new system.." through many stages to "Players are gelling as a unit".

Recently started 2nd season, in 15th spot, and am being criticised again for my negative 5-3-2 tactics :)

Started as Sligo Rovers in the Eircom League Prem. Made only 2 signings in my first season; Eddie Stanford a DL/AML as cover for my only left back at the club Keith Foy. He cost 2k out of a transfer kitty of 7k as well as Stephen Paisley from Longford for 1k. Made a fantastic start to the season, by going the first eleven games unbeaten(8 wins, 3 draws) and 4 points clear on top, as well as knocking Shels out of the League Cup on their own turf. However things started to go down hill from there, as my team lost form and went very inconsistent. A FAI Cup exit in the 2nd round at home to Finn Harps, was followed by dismal league form which saw a drop down and finish in 5th (missing out on Europe, by failing to get points at home to Longford (who were 8th) in the second last game, and a 5-0 hammering away to Cork for the last game of the season). I did get to the League Cup Final but lost 4-3 and pulling back from 3-1 to 3-3 with 8 minutes left only to concede in the 88th!

In my second season now with a transfer budget of 18k after selling Eddie Stanford for 35k and Chris Turner for 20k, which enabled me to buy Lee Morris for 10k from an English Conference side. Money not exactly well spent but not wasted either...:o

Out of all cup competitions, but 4th in the league and challenging for Europe with 4 games to go...also managed to sign a 16 y/o Welsh lad called Lee Cook, with no previous clubs, by swiping him under the noses of Bolton and Blackburn among others! Paul McTiernan has been banging in the goals with a very impressive league ratio of 26 played 22 goals. Not sure whether its time to go after this season to England or try and improve some more with them...we shall see....

I went for milan, wasnt expecting the -8 points to make too much of a difference but with inter owning the entire world and the penalty i have found it hard to overhall them as they just keep on winning. Im one point behind with 6 games to go so its not too bad mainly because of two derby wins one 3-1 and the other 3-2.Beat barca 4-0 at home in the 1/4 final of europe to win 6-2 and now have a game against arsenal plus in the cup final against inter soon

Only had 8 million to spend but couldnt find anyone half decent for that so i spent my one foreign player signing for the season on cardenas and he has been sensational as inzaghi, gilardino and olivera got seriously injured in 2 games at the mid point of the season so i have been using a 3-1-2-3-1 formation with Cardenas, Kaka and Gourcuff my main points of attack and they having a blinder

trying to buy buffon to get the donkey out of nets coz he's not that dida-tastic for me, and im planning a clearout of all the junk defenders we have and hopefully will bring in oddo and barzagli

I started at Bohs, unfortunately I have way too much free time on my hands(its October 2014), It took 3 seasons for me to win the league, I got a few great young kids in from England - Kevin Barker up front, Treacy on the LW and Jonathan Franks on the right, eventually got financally stable after selling Joe Stevens to Portsmouth - the first player recomended by the ast mngr as one for the future, got us to the UEFA cup group stages, the CL group stages the following season, felt I couldnt bring the club any further and 3 of my players refused new contracts so I resigned and eventually took over at Mallorca who were bottom of the league half way through the season, managed to get them up the table and am aiming for European football next season, will probably go back to Bohs at some stage to try and get them to the next level in Europe.

started with Liverpool, bought sol cambell for 4m off pompy.won league and champs league beating werder bremen in final on penalties.the game is far too easy.just started secound season bought jonathon woodgate, dani alves(36million) and theo walcott(11.5m).top of league cruising Walcott is unbelievably good.sold Alonso for 30million to Chelsea.Crouch scored 27 goals in my first season

Start as Moor Green and see if you still find it easy, although I do think its a bit easier than 2006.

    Picked Celtic,

€1.5M Transfer Funds, Wage bill on the limit. Cant get rid of Balde, Lennon, Thompson (high earners that are crap). Got restricted when offering Nakamura and Zurawski contracts now they want to keep their options open.

I will probably loose them on free transfers if I dont sell now

Staff is crap needed to go shopping for decent coaches and some scouts (robbed 3 of chelseas scouts)

Only signing was Vanden Borre for €2.5M

I have loads of league running too

    well....

started as barcelona, won the league 3 time, 2 spanish cups, 2 spanish super cups, 2 euro super cups, 2 champions leage and 2 world club championships.

    so...

i quit that **** and went to fenerbache for a year where i won the turkish league

    then...

i let my contract run up (only signed for 1 year at fenerbache) and was offered the job at liverpool after rafa jumped to inter.

now i'm at the end of the season joint top of the league and in the champions league final.

might quit pool and try get forest back into the prem.

Picked Man City, no transfers, no staff changes, bar a new locally known fitness coach.
Finished 3rd in the league in my first season, sold off Thatcher and Mills (mainly because I hate them both in real life anyway) and bringing through most of the youth team.
Brought in Woodgate and John O'Shea in the close season and looking forward to the new season.

I agree it's a bit easier, was 1-0 down to Arsenal and beat them 3-2. Vassell scored 5 in one game against Watford! The injuries don't seem to be as common as in previous games, but there's seems to be a lot more serious injuries - broken legs, cruciate tears and the like.

I'm Wycombe Wanderers in League Two. First thing I did was sign 'The Tampon' Duncan Ferguson (In for a week, out for a month...). Got him on a free so was pretty happy. Stuck him up top with Tommy Mooney and naturally pleyed with a target man and direct passing.

Started off ok but became the draw specialists of the league. Soent most of the season hovering in the low playoff spots or just outside. Signed Bruno N'Gotty for free in January much to the dlight of everyone because of his experience.

Set up a link with Spurs which is handy for loaning players. 6 of my first eleven are loaned players though so when they all leave at the end of the season im fecked. Most of my first team are out of contract so it's gonna be all change. First to go will be this lad Torres who has been sent off FOUR times so far this season (I've eleven red cards in total).

As for addictiveness, let's just say I've been very tired in work lately!!!

    LEEDS UTD

Juventus, doing quite well second in serie B despite 17 point handicap, bought Stephen Ireland and Vanden Borre, had my offer accepted for Juninhio and one for Baptista but in each case the board wouldnt give me enough to satisfy their wages

Ah good ol Anthony Vanden Borre. Many a team I have managed has included him. an absolute legend of the game, not quite in the class of Kennedy Bakircioglu though!

hmmm two names i must check out there...

I've just started a season with Spurs, and i bought Ian Harte, Figo for £325k, and Alex the chairman was esp delighted with the Figo transfer.

So i'm looking forward to getting stuck in, its no fun really when you start as man u, should start as a mid table team and turn it round. Got a 14 million bugdet!

Re my partner, i don't work weekends, she does most of teh time so i play then, also she gets home much later than me during the week, so i sneak in an hour or two!

I'd say that unless he's ridiculously talented there isn't much point. No harm in continuing to try though.

my advice: Tevez will get itchy feet - so sell him for > 15mil pounds for some spending money (West Ham are broke even after the inevitable board takeover). Plus, don't sell Mascherano, as he has a 80% sell on clause with Corinthians (meaning if you sold him for 20mil, you'd only get 4mil :/ )

Just got the game today, took over at Reading. Been ages since I played this game.

Well i'm half way through, my 3rd season with Sligo Rovers and things are looking very well. My aim for europe was achieved (even if it is only Inter-Toto) after a 4th place in my second season in the league, thanks to an impressive 23 league goals in 30 league games by Paul McTiernan, who has really come into a league of his own.

But as i was saying, exactly halfway through my 3rd season, im Top of the table, 1 point clear of Drogheda, and i've had some impressive reults along the way including 4-0 at home to Shels(take that Ollie!:D ), 6-1 at home to Bohs, 5-2 at home to Derry, and a 1-0 win away to Shels (take that again Ollie!:D ) and 3-2 away to Pats. Paul McTiernan has kept up his goalscoring feats, with 13 in 15 so far, followed by Karl Bermingham with 8 in 13. I've also captured the signature of Keith Gilroy on a Free, as replacement for Brian Cash who left for Pats in the summer.

As i speak im just about to play my first Euro match, in the First leg against Artmedia...we shall see, how it goes...

and remember the young Welsh lad i told you about, well, he's 17 now, and broken into the first team, and currently being Pursued by;Villa, Birmingham, Middlesborough, Hibs, Bolton, Charlton amongst others!;)

I ended up getting sacked from Mallorca, we got done for a Euro spot on the last day of the season and the new signings just didnt click, a couple of hammerings into the season Im out, end up swapping jobs with the Palermo manager who are sitting in 4th in Serie A and expected to avoid relegation but the club really needs European football as they want me to cut the wage bill from 300k to £500, managed to limp into an intertoto spot and qualified for the UEFA cup from there, havent been able to make any new signings but we have a top class youth system so Im hopefull we can make a good go at the UEFA cup and qualify for europe again, it could take a while to stabilise the clubs finances.

You'll bust a nut to stabilise the finances and when you get things right, a takeover will come in.

Hilarious goings on at the Madjeski Stadium today. Had a league cup, 2nd round game V Hartlepool. Going 1-0 down (a controversial penalty, which I have been warned about by the FA) was bad enough but to have 4 goals disallowed for offside, we sneaked a goal in the 91st (3 minutes injury time). That sent the game to extra time at 1-1, we got another in the first half of extra time and they struck back with 2 in the space of 3 minutes, Hartlepool 3-2 Reading! :(

Well have just finished my third season with Sligo Rovers, and had a pretty successful one too.
League Cup and Carlsberg Cup Double, after beating Drogs 2-0 and Derry 3-0, respectively.A 3rd place finish in the league but could have been so much better.ended up 4 points behind champs Drogheda, after being on top for most of the season only to drop points against crappy mid table teams. Ah well.

Got promoted quite comfortably with Forest in the first season, then finished 9th in my second having been in or around the playoffs all season. The third season started off disastrously and I was around the relegation zone most of the time, until I finally got sacked in November, which I thought was a bit harsh!

Anyway, a few months passed with some job offers from Lewes and the like in the Conference North/South, until I decided that the Cambridge offer was too good to turn down. Took control on the 8th of February, with the club in 14th position with 15 games remaining, way off the pace and in a fair bit of debt. Won my first game 4-0 and haven't looked back since. Couldn't buy/sell anyone because the deadline has passed, but got Ollie Cahill and Dave Tyrell on short-term deals as they were unattached, to add to Sean Hargan and Killian Brennan who I had inherited. Bit of an eL revival!

In the last 15 games of the season, I won 9, drew 4 and lost 2. The last day of the normal season was so dramatic, as I was away to York, who were top of the league. I had to win to secure a playoff place and they had to win to win the league. I snook it 2-1, coming from behind and finished 4th, meaning they finished 2nd and were in the playoffs with me.

Inevitably, we met in the playoff final after I won both legs of the semi against Mansfield. In the final I again came from behind, but could only manage a 1-1 draw, before winning a dramatic penalty shoot-out 6-5 after 8 penalties each.

Football League, here we come! Man I love this game!

Dumped out of the Premiership in my first season but sent Watford down on the last day and had a row with Harry Redknapp so I was happy.:) Rebuilding the team and hopefully will return next year, expect to win the Championship. The signs look good from the few friendly games I have played. I am still figuring things out after being away from the game for 6 years.
