I'm posting on behalf of user "sportsguy". He can't seem to post new threads, although he can login.

    Can someone check his account?

    Thanks.

He needs to click the confirmation link in the email that should have been despatched to his email address. He may need to be reminded that this is his username@yahoo.com address.

He's set to 'awaiting email confirmation'. Get him to check his Yahoo mail's spam inbox for a boards mail. Either he forgot his password and requested it or he hasn't activated his account yet. If he clicks on the 'lost password' box when signing in then he should check back on his mail inbox/spambox again.

    /as above

He's tried 3 times now and hasn't got the email. He can login and change his password etc etc but can't start or reply to threads. There's no option to resend an activation issue.

Can you resend an activation email or activate his account for him?

    Thanks.

If he changes his email address or password, another email will be issued.

He's done it a few times now and he gets a link in his email to change his password, which he does.

He still has the same restrictions on his account though.

    Can you advise?

    He's clicking the wrong link.

Edit: I'm just trying out another account on htireland.com to see what happens. Sorry if this post looked curt.

He has used the http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/login.php?a=pwd&u=31776&i=xxxxxxxx link to reset his password each time, but his account still won't let him post.

Feck it! htireland doesn't seem to use COPPA. Anyway, tell him not to change his password next time, and just click the confirmation link on the email when it arrives (this may take a bit of time).

Otherwise, we can bump it up to admin level and ask them to take a look.
