Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

he's running xp is using eircom broadband but had the problem with dial up. the computer starts fine when he clicks on the internet explorer button it comes up cannot find server, he then has to restart, internet explorer opens fine.
if you need more details. let me know. thanks:)

Could be his DNS settings are messed up. More than likely his eircom modem is automatically assigning the PC it's settings. Try manually entering these settings and see if that helps. The usual eircom modem address is 192.168.1.254 so try these settings:

    PC IP address: 192.168.1.10
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway IP address: 192.168.1.254

    Primary DNS: 213.94.190.194
    Secondary DNS: 213.94.190.236

If he's still having probleems, try using a new network card/cable.
