    Hi,

Can anyone here tell me a rough price per square foot for building partition walls, either just for the materials or for materials & labour?

I've built them before in a garage, but cant remember how much it cost me exactly, and this would be on a far bigger scale, about 1900sq ft of walls total per room, each with 2x4 studding (wood or metal), rockwool insulation and plasterboard both sides.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers, Barry.

When you say stud do you mean the plasterboard thickness?

If so, then it'd be one layer of each, the two thicknesses

Electrics yes, a few sockets and lighting per room.
Plumbing, no, not in each room, just at one or two points in the building.

I'm just trying to get a cost for a business plan. It's for a music rehearsal room complex, so the quoted sq footage per room is for two rooms per room really.

Basically a room within a room, with the inner room on a floating floor (think a wall on it's side, with the framing resting on small rubber pucks) and one ceiling across the top!

It's hard to explain, I'l post some example pictures now

Won't let me add the pics, but i took them from this website so I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to look.

All the pics will give you an idea of what I mean.

It could be metal or wood framing, not hugely important.

What did you do in trinity?
