Sashimi grade tuna prepared as sashimi with wassabi and soy dip.

    Finest.

Could happily eat tuna until I turned into one. Current favourite is avocado stuffed with tuna that's got a tiny bit of sun dried pesto mixed into it with finely chopped red peppers and spring onions. Delicious.

Tuna is win. Especially raw in Japanese type meals. Much, much tastier than cooked.

    Tinned tuna - no
Fresh tuna - yes please :) (esp when marinated with some lime juice, chilli and honey before cooking)
I hate tuna. Cat food if you ask me.

Why? Its not as if the little furry f**kers can swim ;)

I'm firm advocate of Lidl's frozen Tuna steaks. Very good price. Defrost them. Crush some coriander seeds and black peppercorns with a mortar and pestle, press into the flesh. Quickly chargrill on a high heat. Serve with roast med veg (I like red onion, red pepper, courgette and halved baby pots with their skins on and perhaps a few cherry toms) and a splash of balsamic Vinegar.

If it's fresh tuna, chargrill and serve with a teriyaki sauce (home-made, dark soy and sugar) with a small side of buttered egg noodles and some steamed purple flowering broccoli...

Where on earth do you get purple flowering broccoli in this fair city?

Dennis Healey often has it in Temple Bar Market, or Jenny the farmer who has a stall in the corner, you just have to be there in season.

Oh yes, fresh or frozen tuna steaks with crushed pepper and red onion...served on a bed of boiled brown rice with fresh red and yellow bell peppers...the rice can be substituted with cous cous :)

    or

Tinned tuna steaks with pasta: sauce = reduced chopped tomatos with garlic, red onion, peppers, mushrooms and cucumber.

    Delicious!
