    Hi All

not really a DIY question but I can't find any info on this in relation to Ireland anywhere. It is about soundproofing or the lack of it in regards to the dividing wall between my apartment and nextdoor. I have found out that the sound-blocking quality of a wall is measured with a STC number (sound transmission class). Does anybody know if there are any building regulations as to what STC quality walls have to have? Anybody know how you would test for it?

Thanks to anyone who gets back with any info. It seems very hard to come by.

    Thanks
    Dakan.
