Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

3 Network Problem Skerries

I have the following problem with my Motorola e1000,
When I am at home and switch the phone on it goes to the 2g network which is fine for 30 seconds if I make a call it stays on the this network for the duration of the call.
If I leave the phone it switchs to 3g but I can't make a call get call failed.
If I leave another 30 seconds after it says 3g it gets nothing.

I have rang the complaints but they asked me to try with another 3 phone (don't know any one with one) They said they would send a engineer to check the area.

Any one else finding the same problem

    What's the 3G signal like?

Sounds like the phone is picking up a weak 3G signal and hanging on to it, even though it is not strong enough to make a call.

I would ask 3 if they will give you an exchange phone maybe?

    Nah,

Its a known issue with most of the operators. Its to do with 2 (or 2.5) g switch over to 3g. Because 3 interconnect with Voda on areas of non-3g, phone latches on to 2g, and has problems re-attaching to 3g.

Think its quite handset specific. I have the same issue with SE K800i. Phone freezes then when I try to reboot. Have to physically take out batt. Luckily am in an area with 3g though.

    Called the operators about this?
