    and if you read on that thread there's a post that states a UVB lamp also has UVA

    fair enough, you know of any links of a screw in one online? same bulb as this http://www.uvguide.co.uk/compactlamps.htm

    thats a great bulb but it wouldnt fit in my socket lol. ( that sounds so wrong) its a screw in but the area my light is in wont be enough for that light. gonna search a bit myself for one the same size as the link i just gave above. thanks anyway

    Buy a socket with it when you buy it. they are dirt cheap and simple to wire.

    That lamp looks grand tbh, fair play to you man at least you're taking the right steps to look after them. The damn lights are expensive aren't they.

    yup lol. the petshop in LK had no idea about this stuff at all, they had gravel in tanks, no basking lamps, no idea what uvb was for either, at least i had an excuse lol

    Dont get me started on pet shops and turtle sales, it makes my blood boil.

    I was in a shop, a fairly well known shop in Dublin, about 4 months ago, and the guy was selling a YBS to a little girl, telling her that it would stay that small and could live in this tiny plastic tub with about 2 inches of water for the rest of its life......sickening.
