    What was it then??

gardai still have a good part of the area cordoned off but looking at it in daylight looks alot like the hallmarks of a pipe bomb

Ahh, its Finglas when its bad news and when that development Lanesborough was advertised along with the likes of Meakstown, it was either D11 or St Margarets with no hint of Finglas mentioned.
Shockingly those residents who choose to sell or rent their places on the likes of Daft or MyHome have no mention of Finglas in their address :)

    Talk about snobbery :D

i can never understand the southside / northside divide myself , theres excellent and terrible areas equally on both sides of the liffey, in fairness where i live across from where that bomb went off is genuinely very quite , respectable but it only takes one incident and suddenly lanesborough is dodgy

i'm originally from donaghmede and after a few shootings there in the space of a few months it was being compared to beruit despite never having an incident like that in all my 25 years there , people can be very quick to judge / jump the gun (if you pardon the pun) :)

Agreed. To be honest, I felt less comfortable standing in Killiney Dart Station than I did Connolly/Clontarf/Howth Juntion route stations.

But lets not get into that! ;)

It wasn't a comment on the Northside, it was a comment on Finglas.
I'd of said the exact same thing had the location been Tallaght.

Anyway, theres no need to go into a Southside/northside argument in this thread, they never really get anywhere.
