Cartilage piercing

I got the cartilage of my ear pierced 9 weeks ago with a gun. I was told i could take the earring out after 8 weeks but since doing that ive noticed a lump on the back of my ear directly where the piercing is. Just wondering if anyone knows if this is common with cartilage piercings and how i can get rid of it?? Ive been…

its called a keloid
