Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere showing the Newcastle game?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,563 ✭✭✭kinaldo

Most Newcastle players couldn't score in a brothel at the moment, but does Luque get a chance? Of course not. He has to have slept with Roeder's daughter, there's no other logical explanation for the way he's been treated.

Team: Harper, Carr, Taylor, Ramage, Babayaro, Milner, Emre, Parker, Duff, Sibierski, Rossi
Subs: Srnicek, Luque, Solano, N'Zogbia, Huntongton

According to Talksport report Newcastle are playing VERY well and "oozing confidence". Makes sense.

lol at the nigerian guy at the back for southend. He's got a do-rag on and everythin. He's done up like a proper primadonna. No offence to southend fans, but where does he think he's playing? the premiership?

I'm getting quite worried now, more frustrated though. Listening to commentary here. By all accounts Newcastle should be at least 4 or 5 up but they just cannot finish.

Whats Rossi acutally like? I saw the sheff united match( that was one of the worst experiences of my life btw) and he looked very poor. considering all the hype surronding hes been very disappointing.

Has been good in any game?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,563 ✭✭✭kinaldo

ffs 1-1 now. We have a go at them in the first half and should have been out of sight. Then in the second half we sit back and let them come at us. Suprise suprise, Watford equalise. Roeder is a genius.

Rossi looked good against Everton when he came on, but has been disappointing overall. It's hard to accurately judge young players in this Newcastle team though. Against Sheffield United we were pumping long balls up to him.

I always thought Rennie was a crap ref and he's just proved it with that ridiculous yellow card. He's been fairly crap all through this match. Was he not relegated off the pl list a few years back for being crap?

No replays in the Carling Cup. Extra time then Penalties.

    2 legged Semi Finals.

Duffer hits inside of post. We really do not need extra time. I'd love to know the odds of Newcastle winning on penalties seeing as we haven't won a penalty shootout in over 30 years. Everton, Partizan Belgrade, Blackburn and Chelsea are the most recent failures that spring to mind.

anyone wanna guess how much injury time utd get ? 5?6? mins:D

Edit, just the 3. That would enough for a solskjear hat trick if he was playing. I still think theyll score, they always do.

Turns out Newcastle have never won a competitive penalty shootout. For the love of God, please don't let this go to penalties!

That has to be the worst part of this competition. Pointless adding of games.

    Southend put Utd out.

Have to say I'm shocked. I really thought with about 30 mins to go that Rooney was going to lose it and run amock getting a couple of goals.

Fair Play to Southend...as a united fan it's a shocker but results like that are great for the game.

    Congratulations to Southend.

Solano on for Rossi. Makes sense - Roeder would rather lose than play Luque (a regular penalty taker btw).

Well so much for penos. 2-1 Watford now.

    or spurs.
we could do with sticking out a reserve squad

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,563 ✭✭✭kinaldo

I'll take Spurs. The fact that Man Utd have gone out to Southend and Newcastle have won their first ever penalty shootout after a last gasp equalizer surely means our name is on the cup.
