Slimline PS2 & Pro Evo 6 online connecting woes!

    Today for the 1st time i connected the slimline PS2 to the broadband and successfully played on EA servers Tiger Woods 07 and Fifa 06.

    However i am all night looking through old posts and still no luck on connecting Pro Evo 6! Very frustrating!

    When the connection tests happen it says it's fine and then at the last stage it cannot hook up to server, please can anyone else advise me?????????(Desperate):confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    server still goes under manteinance so probably u connect when its down
    i would try now cos it went back to work

    You need a port opened on your router 5739 UDP

    www.portforward.com Will have a guide, what is the model number of your router?

    I hav ethe standard Netopia wireless router that comes with Eircom, i also had it working fine on Xbox live with the wireless adaptor.

    Sorry the model number for the router is 3347 WG (i think).

    have you edited your dns settings, username and passwords first?

    you need to do this before you connect

    I altered a lot of settings and then i noticed that the tips i was copying from old posts appeared to be for PC.

    So now i'm all mixed up as i refer to PS2.

    You need to open port 5739 to allow PES to get onto its own servers.

    Follow this guide but replace 6881 with 5739.

    in pro i had to edit my dns settings and apply a ip ( i put 192.168.1.4 )

    i also had to change the port to 5730
    for some reason my settings had some different port, 38 something

    once i did that i created a pinhole on my netopia router following such a guide to pinhole port 5730

    when i did that, everything was sorted
