Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi all,

Could someone tell me please how the different sizes work between countries for clothes?

Quite new to buying clothes online. I recently ordered a pair combats from A&F in the US, 34 x 34 and when I went to try them on they were massive!!, honestly they must have been 38 or 38 but the tag said size 34? Between getting them sent over and then sent back they ended up costing me a lot of wasted money.

I not a large fella and between sizes in Ireland, 32 feels tight but 34 is quite large (really needs a belt) so I usually end up going for 34. And for the leg its usually 34 as well, slightly baggy at the end but not catching under my foot.

Probably a bit of a strange post but their you go :)
How does everyone else work out your sizes?

Dont buy online to be honest.

Try any shop and go in and try on 34" waist trousers/jeans in various brands.I guarantee they will all fit differently. Many of my trousers say 34" but measured with a tape are more like 36".So the only way to know is to try thm on.

Thanks padi89, yeah Ive had a run of bad luck buying online but I just thought I was limiting my options and so many other people seem to be doing it ...

I just hate the idea of walking around shopping, I much prefer looking at clothes from the comfort of my own home :/
