    Hey,

What madness has happened at Xmas Work Parties you've been to. We all know there is some disasters just waiting to happen, Xmas is the perfect excuse!!

I've never been to one, but I think I'll go to this years one. I'll be on my best behaviour though!

Usual stuff. People getting too drunk. People getting off with people they shouldn't. That kind of thing. Saying that its a bit like all our staff outings. Will post more if/when I remember specifics (not too specific mind).

I have only been to one in my former workplace and everyone was very, very grumpy and rude to each other. Christmas spirit eh? :( Probably because its the only time of year the management does not treat the workers like dirt. I guess it works in some places though.

A few people got fired where I work after a christmas party. Before my time though. Must have seemed like a great time to start a fight when all the bosses were there.

I generally try not to drink too much at work Christmas parties as I prefer being the person who is asked by others what they got up to in their inebriated state rather than having someone tell me what I did :)

One year 2 married (not to each other) members of staff were caught out when they sneaked off from the function room into a quiet corridor in the hotel for a bit of a drunken fumble. What they didn't notice was a group of staff at the far end of the corridor standing just outside the fire exit, smoking, getting a ringside view of the whole show. It was only back in work the following Monday with everyone making little 'comments' to them both that they realised. The following year the same guy was caught again in the loos with a different staff member so nothing was learned.
