At home I have two pcs - 1 is windows xp home edition and the other is windwos xp professional.

I want to share files between them - so on the windows xp home pc i created a folder and shared it - giving permsissions to all users. I can connect to this share from the xp professional pc - create and edit all text documents. However I have a problem when I try and access MS Office 2003 documents. I get the error - cannot open \\ doc name. The document then opens but i am not able to save changes to it. I am able to created new office file in this shared area but again if i try and save changes to it i cannot.

The machine are definitely talking and the fact that i can change and edit all text documents point to a problem with msoffice 2003 professional - this is installed on both machines. Anyone any ideas?
