    Hi

Trying to finish our landcaping outside (we have a mature garden "shell" as we demolished a property on it) and have a guy with digger etc in a the mo. He and hubby say put railway sleepers in along under old exisiting hedging that borders our neighbours. On the other side of this will be a combination of a small amount of tarmc (hate the stuff!) and then hardcore in a parking area and decorative chippings in another area. We will also have a patio area but that will have edging/finishing of it's own. It's the area described above that we have a dilemma with. Other people have said it is a waste of money putting railway sleepers and then bark mulch under this hedge as weeds will still come up, cats will get in and dig and it will still be dirty. Kerbing is another option but the concrete ones aren't the nicest are they? And the budget does not stretch to grainite..which I'd love! Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

Great idea foamcutter, but not for us I am afraid due to time contraints. Thanks so much for ino though. Any ideas on cheaper way to cover 100 sq metres of patio? Seems that we need to spend an arm and a leg..which we don't have!!
