getting the digits

how do you go about getting a girls phone no. without looking like a stalker/type freak?! you dont actually ask for it without having a reason to do you?

lets say you meet a girl you like...how do you go about getting her number? how do you ask? i'm a pretty shy guy...would not have the most confidence but always find myself in suituations with girls which dont lead to anything as they get pissed that i dont make the first move.

help!

OK, I assume that you have no probs approaching or talking to girls? Well, if she likes you (and you her), and you have been sharing mutual interests for awhile, then tell her you would like to see her again and ask her for her number. Often the appropriate time is when one of you has to leave. If she is interested in seeing you again, she will give it to you. Smile and ask.

If you want her number that bad then you should just make your intentions known from the start. Not too blatantly because you'll most likely scare her off. As said above, just ask if you guys could meet up again.

If you are shy enough so you don't dare to ask her for her number,
what you gonna do with the number if you get it elsewhere?
Aren't you too shy to call her also then?

I have had guys friends that have approached me and said that their friend would like my number. I have always said that he will only get it if he asks himself. Why would I want to give my number to someone that does not dare to talk to me?

I would do as someone else said, talk to her for a bit, smile and ask her
