The X5 is sold so I don't have to worry about depreciation, I want to get something for January. As regards Renault ? I don't think so. I've heard the Range Rover Sport has the new V8 diesel engine and a few of them seem to be available for immediate sale at the moment so I might check them out.

If you order a new Q7 now JY, you wont receive delivery until probably late Feb or early Mar.

Personally, I think the Q7 is u.g.l.y. But having said that, I know very little else about them.

My personal 1st choice would be a:

There's no doubt about it the Landcrusier is a fine machine in many ways but I think its more suited to crossing the Sahara than everyday use. I really only use mine for everyday use and its parked outside my garage for most of the day. I drove the Q7 on Saturday and won't be buying one, it looks like the Range Rover Sport V8 is the one for me.

I have never been in a RR Sport but I have read a few articles on them and most people who have been in them could only complain that the interior trim is a bit low rent.

I agree with this. Find the trim on the RR and the Discos very plasticky and cheap looking, to be honest. From the plastic door handles and plastic side vents to the plastic-filled interior. Maybe it's just me but the interior and parts of the exterior don't appeal at all.
