Just wondering what's the best way to sell my car in Dublin?
I know in the south the only thing is the buy and sell, but is there something else in Dublin?
I've only been living here for a month, wondering how to sell something quickest - within two weeks or so maybe.
The car itself should sell easily, a 98 Hyundai accent 1.3 - 100k on the clock, looking for €2,200.
    Any advice?
    Thanks

Location should not matter. Stick it on http://www.adverts.ie. It is free and you can use your logon from this forum.

I had mine in the buyandsell, carsireland.ie and adverts.ie for about 3 weeks. Put it up on carzone.ie and it sold the very next day.

No chance you will get 2,200 for that car, way too much milage. Apart from websites/paper etc the best option is leave in a busy area for shopping over the weekend with signs on it saying for sale and mobile number. I have sold alot of cheap cars this way!!! once your talking big money usually better in ag/web site etc

    Carzone is reccomended then?

I was thinking the same myself, for a car around this price best is the freebie advert pages.
2,200 is a fair price compared to what others are trying - I've seen people try 3k, 4k...

I sold my '98 Ford Escort with 106k miles on the clock for €2k in immaculate condition. Not sure you'll get that kinda money for a lesser known brand though.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Sold a '99 Fiesta recently within a few days for near asking price (€3k). Picture ads in Buy and Sell, carzone.ie and adverts.ie

Might pay for the picture advert in buy and sell too.
Re the lesser known brand - maybe so. I'd settle for 2k, but I'll hold out a week or two and see if I get it.

You won't get €2,200 for it. more like €1,500

I second that. I put my wife's Clio on carzone late last Monday night, without pic's, and it was sold early the following morning.

It costs €30 as a one-off fee; until the car sells. You can also renew the ad at no cost, if a buyer backs out, or disappears.
