What Happened to Loughboy Shopping Centre Upgrade?

I heard about two years ago that the 1970s relic that is Loughboy 'shopping centre' is to be upgraded and redeveloped into something from the 21st century! They even had a big sign up saying 'Opening Summer 2007' and a nice modern picture of the plan; now this sign has vanished and refurbishmnet work has certainly not…

They even had a big sign up saying 'Opening Summer 2007' and a nice modern picture of the plan; now this sign has vanished and refurbishmnet work has certainly not begun.. Has the developer pulled the plug or something? A decent shopping centre wouldn't go amiss there-I'm sick and tired of have to go into town for every little thing. This is not the case in similiar sized towns and cities to Kilkenny.

They must have decided it wasn't commercially viable with the two new shopping centres going in and Lidl down the road?
