Further to my previous thread asking of conroe motherboards, I'm now looking at the Gigabyte GA-965P-S3, as seen here: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=324364 for €138, which is more to my liking than the €200+ I'm seeing for a lot of new p965 boards.

Is there anything good or bad that I'm missing about this board? Any other one I should be considering in the same price range?

I don't plan on doing any major overclocking. I'll be sticking an E6600 with stock Intel cooler in it.

What speed memory is optimal for the E6600 before any overclocking takes place? i.e. how low can I go before negatively affecting performance.

My Komplett shopping list is now as follows, though not sure about the RAM:
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/shoplist.asp?mode=receive&si=400940&su=39F4E893-8E0A-4EE2-B419-BE32F9253640

The reason I threw in the SATA hard disk and DVD burner is that I'm going to have to get rid of some of my IDE stuff due to only having 1 IDE port on the new board. One of my disks is pretty old anyway and could do with replacement.

I'll be using my existing case and the following components to build this machine:
    Hiper 580W modular PSU
    XFX 6800GT
    300GB SATA disk
    2x250GB IDE disk
    Creative Audigy 2 ZS

I'll then be selling an Abit AN8, Athlon 64 3200+, 2GB of PC3200 RAM and a 120GB IDE disk to recoup some of my costs.
