So basically, it comes down to the graphics cards being different - Kompletts is far superior. What would people recommend going for though? Out of the two options - unless there's a better option for circa €1500 or so. Also, the Komplett has anti-virus support for a year, the dell has nothing.

Are Komplett's components better than dells? I've heard a few complaints about Dell fobbing off shoddy components - like my CD drive. Its muck. And the komplett one would be easier to upgrade, right? Don't dell doctor theirs so that its hard to upgrade theirs?

Is the €350/€400 difference in price reasonable? Worth it? Or should I go for the Dell and upgrade it after Christmas when prices go down?

The real big difference here is that all the komplett parts are quality components , and industry standard also .

Dell components are where their margins are , the motherboard is not industry standard ATX , its a dell motherboard , same goes for the case , the rest of the components may or may not be standard.

By non ATX standard I mean the layout of the fixing mounts on the motherboard and the case , chances are , should you wish to upgrade with a new motherboard in future , youd have to break out the drill and take it to the case.

The komplett deal is way superior . All standard components , all well known brands and all easily upgraded or replaced.

On a side note , the best anti virus packages now are either Avast or AVG and both are free !!

The Ankermann looks good though you may want to add a SATA HD instead of an IDE one at this stage.

What's with the RAM config upgrade from 256-512MB 533Mhz then followed by 1GB 667Mhz thats not a great idea just select in the first option an upgrade to 1GB DDR 533Mhz and leave it at that (unless you can afford the 2GB).
