I have a horrible timetable. 6 exams but two each on two of the days.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

Can't be any worse than having an exam at 9am and another one at 6pm. On a SATURDAY.
That should be made illegal. Then having 2 on a Tuesday after having one at 6pm on the Monday evening.

    [comicbookstore-guy]Worst. Timetable. Ever.[/comicbookstore-guy]

    Poo...two exams in one day.
Probably most screwed for the essay part of the N.I. course...Unless of course the essay I did for tomorrow comes up.
Heard that the core course is a straight choice from 10 topics with no pre-45 post-45 division though so that could help..

    Core Course

    13th December 9 - 11 am

    Option (Irish Rev)

6 - 8 pm, December 14th (so nope, not all options at the same time).

    Medicine

    December 18th 3-5 pm.

VG, I just heard that there is a pre/post 45 division with six questions per section to choose one...

Crud. This makes me sad. PM me what you're going to study for that course?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,158 ✭✭✭Stepherunie

Seems I got a nice timetable then:

    Radiography 14/12 3 - 5pm

    Equipment 15/12 3 - 5pm

    Image Technology 19/12 12 - 2pm (soon to be changed to 12 - 1 due to a paper change)

    Mechanisms of Disease 21/12 12 - 2pm

Doesn't help not knowing stuff though......

Final year Geography. Two on the 14th and one on the 16th. What's the deal with final year arts subjects having 2 out of 3 exams on the same day? Surely there was a better way to timetable this.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,755 ✭✭✭elmyra

Try SIS, some of the Arts and Law ones are up there now... Go to Enrolment and check each individual course.

    Thunder stealer!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,608 ✭✭✭breadmonkey

Is this definietly right? It says some of my exams are 1 hour long when I know they are suposed to be 2 hours.

Apart from that I got a filthy timetable. No less than 3 exams on one of the days! Plus I have a Hydraulics exam on my 21st birthday!

We aren't allowed answer questions on topics that we did essays on...:(

We're sooort of advised not to in some courses (philosophy) but as far as I'm aware it's not a hard and fast rule in History..I've definitely done it in other exams.

It's a sucky rule..I always thought doing your continuous assessment was meant to help you towards learning for your exams.

    Or perhaps I'm just lazy.

I'm so happy with mine [what an odd thing to say:confused: ] They run from 14th to the 20th and all bar one are evening exams AND theres a really nice gap between the tough ones.

    Everything's coming up [strike]Milhouse[/strike] Scraggeh!

14th December - Comparative Public Law

    15th December - Evidence

    15th December - Equity

21st December - Public International Law

Could be worse, some people in B&L have 3 exams on the 15th all in a row.

    GEOG20020 Cultural Geography - Wed 13th Dec 3-5pm
    GEOG20010 Europe - Mon 18th Dec 12-2pm

*sits back and sips some Brandy*

fcuking sweet! :D Week and a half off to cram for the first and then 5 more days to prepare a question from a choice of 12 we're being told is coming for the other exam...... although karma dictates that i'll get a wanky timetable in the summer

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,837 ✭✭✭abelard

    Three exams;

    Dec 18th at 9am - 11am (Constitutional Frameworks)
Dec 18th at 6pm - 8pm (Legal Systems and Methods)
    Dec 19th at 9am - 11am (Criminal Procedure)

Irritatingly condensed. And the huge gap between the 2 exams in the same day isn't nice. Meh, at least I have loads of time before them to studeh.

Whoever's idea it was to have exams at 6pm needs to be strung up by the testicles and savagely beaten.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,755 ✭✭✭elmyra

    I like Kirby's idea.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,578 ✭✭✭Scraggs

Exams at 6pm are a total gift!! I'm delighted I've so many at that time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭Umaro

    Exercise Science 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Dec 15

They are taking the piss with this timetable. I do 3 history subjects. On the 13th of December I have the 1st exam from 9am till 11 am, the second from 3pm till 5pm and the 3rd from 6pm till 8pm. I'll be in admin at 9am to complain. Thats just not fair, especially when one is doing their finals. ****

Check SIS - Information for Students - Registration - Student Detail Schedule. If they're not there though, never fear!

    2nd Year Computer Science:

    Data Structures and Algorithms 1 - 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Dec 18

    Databases and Information Systems - 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Dec 13

Not too sure about the others, but apparently you denominated lot have three exams on the 13th, Digital Systems being one.

HAHAHAHAHA. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Guess who's fully enrolled and registered, but is surprisingly not registered for the semester (huh?) and can't see any way of registering for the semester online (can anyone spell typical?) and therefore can't get a timetable even if they had one for postgrad English en ce moment?

Don't do a postgrad here, kids. You think it sucks as an undergrad? You have NO idea.
