Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I wonder if anyone knows if there's a way to restrict that files cannot be deleted in a WinXp System SP2, or ask for a password to delete them.

I did try create a limited account but it did not work.

It will be ok to do everything else download, install, etc.

    Regards

all you can really do is:

    1) disable simple filesharing
    2) Set permissions for the folders and subfolders for each user\group.

I think if you set up a standard limited account they can only delete files from folders within their own documents and settings folders.
Have a read through the article above to set up folder security.
