Where is the best (cheapest) place to rent a small skip in Dublin?

    Hi,

We have used A1 (www.a1waste.ie) and Greenstar (www.greenstar.ie) 4-5 times in the past year (2 house renovations). We used A1 about a month ago for a standard sized skip and it was cheaper than Greenstar - it was on some kind of Saturday special

Yeah, same here, just ordered a 6c sq one today for just €200 Sat to Thurs. vg value, about €75 cheaper than greenstar. If you only have a v small amout of waste you can get a thing called baby skip (think its babyskip.ie) but not sure. You buy a canvas skip from a hardware store and then call them to pick it up. Handy enough I'd say. And probably the cheapest. Not big enough for me tho'.

Nice, thanks! Just used the a1waste company.

Ya wouldn't think they wanted your business by talking to them on the phone, shower of ignorant bastids :) But cheap they are!

Used A1 skips twice in the last year. Was 200 for the weekend last year. It's 235 this year.

They're an absolute disgrace when it comes to collecting the skips. It took 2 weeks the last time and nearly 3 weeks later this time and the skip still hasn't been collected despite a complaint to them over a week ago.

The skip is on the roadway and has now been overfilled by others with junk and computer equipment etc. that shouldn't even be in it.

They're cheap but rubbish (excuse the pun). Anyone know who to complain to in the EPA of council?

Used a company called AArgos. Cheaper than Greenstar but the same problem as some o the other options, ignorant telephone manner, and its weeks before they collect.

    Never ever use this company.

Don't DELIVER or PICKUP on time.

Rude bunch of Customer Service personnel (women who think it's great to be as obnoxious as you possibly can)

Don't use these.. You'll be sorry.

    Regards
