    I have quite an interesting project here for as many people that are interested. Me and a few others from the mobile forums have created a cheap text messaging service. You install a J2ME app on your phone, and then you can send cheaps for as cheaply as a quarter of a cent (on o2) (1c on vodafone and meteor). I have created a service architecture where you can send a certain number a text message, and a service will be attached to that.

    An example service I created was Google mobile, its only available in the USA but I brought it over to Ireland, by screenscraping the Google SMS site and returning the results (see http://www.google.ie/sms)

    There isnt any monetary rewards for this, but its interesting enough for a hobby. Other requested stuff includes having a directory enquiry service where you just text in and it responds with a result. I finished the screenscraping part but I havent interfaced it properly because of the limitations of text messages (think 160 characters).

    Basic source code and an app to test out the services will be provided, and full credit given :)
