Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I am trying to get links to websites that are targetted and popular with Irish people living abroad , and its proving harder than i thought. So what sites abroad are most used for say irish news, sport etc ?
    Thanks!

Don't know about any for Irish living abroad but if I need a fix of Irish news I'll usually visit the rte website or occasionally the indo site. Are you looking for national news/sport stories or something with more of a regional slant?

To be honest, I am looking to give a live feed of information to these sites - so that the Irish abroad would have a direct link to them. I'm just looking for popular sites, which are used to keep up to date when abroad on irish news etc. maybe there aren't any - but i suspect the likes of the irish in New York have a community to share experiences etc and they may well be interested in a link.

Probably the main ways would be:

    1. Internet. RTE news and some of the newspapers.
    2. RTE News is shown once a week on most of the PBS channels, along with a show called "Out of Ireland" which is a fairly lightweight news review program. I will watch that if I come across it flipping through the channels.
    3. For sports, Setanta shows most of the GAA and international soccer. I have no interest in sports myself, but it is a great excuse to head for the pub at 7:00am on a Sunday.
