Dog Keeps Peeing Indoors

    Any ideas why our male dog keeps peeing indoors and any tips on how to make him stop? He even does this sometimes while the back door is open so not being able to get out is not the reason.

    bit thin on the information side there ...

    how old is he ...how long have you had him ...how long has he been doing this ...how often does he pee per day (inside and out) ....is he peeing (i.e leaving big puddles) or marking (leaving just a "squirt")?

    What comes to mind immediately is that if this is a sudden new thing, it may have a medical cause, like a urinary tract infection where he may simply not be able to "hold it", that happens VERY often in male dogs.
    Could also be marking his territory, or some behavioral issue that needs to be addressed.

    But need more info to be able to suggest anything else.
