Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ive had my laptop about 2 years now and recently, like this week, the fan has started working overtime.

    the fan is going nuts.

it used to make this noise if you covered the fan by sitting the laptop on yr knee or something but now its on full time overdrive.

any of you guys have an idea what might be going on?

Dust build up, try blowing through the vent holes?

When fan is running 100% check your cpu usage by pressing ctrl+alt+delete
See if any processes are taking up all the cpu usage and causing your laptop fan to spin contstantly to keep the processor cool.

    Also could be a virus?

Sounds like something is blocking the vents around the CPU, most likely dust.
