Freddie Roach is backing his man, Manny Pacquiao, to score a second stoppage in his rubber match with Erik Morales.

The two super-featherweights meet for a third time in Las Vegas on Saturday, less than 10 months after the Filipino became the first man to stop El Terrible in 52 fights.

Morales has since blamed the defeat on a change of routine and poor preparation. He says he it won't be a problem this time and has been in training for three months for the third meeting between the two.

But Roach, who has been in Pacquiao's corner since 2001, believes nothing can stop his man repeating January's 10th-round stoppage.

"I believe that Morales will come out really strong. We just have to be prepared for the early onslaught and if we can do that, the fight's going to be over," he told the Manila Bulletin.

"When he starts to fade away, it's over." said Roach, who has been calling the shots in the Filipino's corner since mid-2001.

"I don't see this going the distance. Down the stretch around the ninth, tenth or eleventh round, we are going to knock him out. It will all boil down to who is the freshest down the stretch. And I really believe it is my guy."

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that both fighters will wear the Reyes punchers' gloves.

Pacquiao, who 33KO's from his 42 wins, wore them for the last Morales fight, despite a row that dominated the build-up.

The Mexican, with 34KO's from his 48 wins, wore the Winning gloves but has switched to the Reyes this time, which has convinced Roach he will be looking for a fast start and an early finish.

"He ordered Reyes gloves and this time if he is wearing them, it means he is not concerned hurting his hand so much," he said.

"He is concerned about an early knockout and if he breaks his hand, he breaks his hand. But I think the gloves will be an indication that he will be starting quickly."

I fear for Morales. Its a horrible feeling watching your favourite fighter of all time take a beating. It happened the last time and i dont feel good about a reversal. If anyone can do it, Morales can, but boxing is a cruel sport and usually doesnt work like that.

Late stoppage for Pac man. If that happens El Terrible should retire. I dont want to watch the guy turn into Chavez.

Heart says Morales , head says Pacquiao............I got a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach when Morales was stopped the last time , but I think that happened to every Morales fan .

Pac Man all the way. Morales was great but his time is up. Manny to win and go on to prove the Barrera fight was no fluke in that rematch.

Why can Sky pick up the good fights though? This could be fight of the year and we can't see it.
