CAO Points System as Percentile

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way which I can find my national ranking as a percentile based on my leaving cert points. I'm writing a C.V. for a foreign research group and I'm trying to put the points system into a format they'd understant. e.g. "I'm in the top x percentile"

Chief Examiners' Reports on www.examinations.ie have some sort of tables showing what percentages got As and Bs ect ect ect

Out of curiosity, is it possible to subdivide it even further? i.e. to find out what someone scoring 475, or 525 or 540 or whatever got? anyone know of a way?

Outside of asking the department you're only estimating really.
If you assumed that the marks are evenly spread then you could have a good guess like if 550-600 if 2.5% then 575 would be 1.25%, so you would be in the 1.55 percentile etc...

You could possibly try taking the statistics on the chief examiners reports which I think have like, percentage of A1s in a particular subject etc. and use some kind of maths skills to find out your own overall percentage.
