Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a spare laptop, with built-in WiFi, I would like to turn it into a WiFi Access Point using my Vodafone 3G card.

Can anyone recommend any software that will do this?

just to clarify, you want to take your 3g card and broacast it over WiFi correct?

If its just for yourself, you just need to enable internet connection sharing in the WiFi card.

You could also use somthing like zoneCD, but getting support for the 3g Card could be difficult.

Another way of doing it is simply to buy an acess point\hotspot and bridge it to your etehrnet port on the laptop.

Thanks, came across them via Google, however they only mention US 3G cards, and the project is based around the Audiovox PC5220 card, would be great if it supported one of the Vodafone branded cards, I will post a message on their forum.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping to use just the laptop itself as it works fine apart from a smashed LCD. I want the laptop to appear as a WiFi AP and provide internet via a PCMCIA vodafone 3g card
