Garmin Streetpilot C310 or Airis T920? - Buying as Gift

Hi All
I know there's already a thread regarding the T920 but it's vs. the Nuvi 310
A group of us are buying our boss a sat nav for Xmas and we have a budget of 250-300 euro. These are the only two I can seem to find in this price range.
I saw the Airis on Pixmania (253) and the Streetpilot C310 in Halfords (269) and Harvey Normans (289)
Does anyone know if the maps are up to date on the Garmin?
Or if anyone has any other suggestions let me know

Best you'll get for the money at the moment..
Comes with v8 maps (average mapping) but you are entitled to a free upgrade to v9 (excellent mapping) when it is released in early 2007 (if the unit isn't registered until the maps are made available).

Just spotted the Tom Tom One Irl&GB in PC World for €329 would this be a better bet? We want something with the most up to date maps etc as it's a present.
