Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

GPS with Route 66 V7- out of date

Hey, I just got a XDA exec a few weeks ago. My main want for this, was to hook it up to a blue tooth GPS receiver and use a GPS software on it. I decided to use route 66, as from reading up on-line, it seems to have the best coverage. However, In the past few days, I've noticed some missing roads. Such as the M50, from Dundrum to the M11. The N30 bypass, just out side of Enniscourty. Also a new section of road, just past the Dundrum shopping centre. Heading towards the N11. All these roads have been opened with in the past Year and a half from what I can gather. I'm running Route 66 V7 with the UK and Ireland map. I was wondering, is this a out of date map I have been given (IE for an older version) or is it that its not been updated by Route 66 as of yet. Any thoughts?

Very strange and somewhat disappointing as I was considering this GPS software for a while... On their GB/IRL webpage for v7: http://www.66.com/route66/products.php?cid=UK&sec=6&ssec=0&prodid=2164 it says that their maps are from Q4/2005. I know that full Ireland coverage came in the Q1/2006 maps but I'd have thought that Dublin would have been up to date, at any rate.

V7 was launched in late June.

Mapopolis have Q1 2006 maps for Ireland and has the complete M50.

To be fair, there are only a few new roads missing. Once you get past the missing section (IE on a trip to waterford) It will redirect the N9 route and go for the N11 and then N30 to N25. I'd say it has about 90% coverage. As some roads and new buildings are missing. With all that said. It can lead me to my g/f's door step. So its not all that bad. The software it's self is good to use. They just need to update the maps to the current Q1 2006 maps if that is the case.

Where did you buy the software? If it wasn't shipped with the Q1 2006 maps then call them and they should send them out to you (assuming you purchased recently, which it looks like you did)

If you contact the seller and demand an map update....but ask for Q2 2006 to be loaded.

Subway, did you purchase Route 66 with the GPS or standalone? Just wondering how you were able to get the Q2/2006 maps for it!
