Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anybody know if any of this months computer magazines have a free copy of Ubuntu?

If not, what's the quickest way to get it in Dublin?

I think the quickest way will be to get someone with broadband to download the cd Installer for you. I'd offer but my cd-writer is not working at the moment. PM me if you are really stuck.

    Cheers,

If you have broadband and a few blank CD-Rs, you can download from the Ubuntu website.

If you're in a hurry to get Ubuntu and don't mind paying around $12 on Amazon [now $4 on offer, excluding delivery I'd imagine], visit http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu [links to various vendors for various architectures]. I don't have the latest version either.

I think it will be on the Linux Format coverdisc [not a plug, really] for the December issue. Fedora is on the latest. If you want to wait at your letter box for six to eight weeks, you can order them online for free from the Ubuntu website. They even send you little Ubuntu stickers when you do.
