One of the more modest car careers....
1988 Corolla 1.3 (Sprinter Shape) Very nice for first car (I adored this car) £1500 (€1905) - Sold for £250 (€318) (With cracked engine block, my fault completely not the car's)
    1988 Corolla 1.6 Executive £180 (€228) - sold for £160 (€203)
    1993 Primera 1.6Slx £3500 (€4445) - sold for €1,850
1993 BMW 520i £5500 (€6985) - sold for €2,850 (Plus an absolute fortune to keep the POS running)
    1990 Corolla 1.3 €340 - sold for €800
1993 Peugeot 605 2.0SLi €0 (Yep, zero) - sold for €450 minus battery and clutch
    1993 Safrane 2.0 Exec €300 - sold for €900
1995 Accord Aerodeck 2.0 €1250 - Current car but have spent/spending about €1500 extra on making it mechanically A1, mods, etc. - current value about €1500

So depreciation over 8 years and approx 180k miles is:

€6582 which is €823 per year or 3.7 cent per mile

Amazingly from 2001 to 2006 (And about 100k miles) I was actually UP 1500 on depreciation :-)

Worst car of the lot (In every way) was definitely the BMW - Best car of the lot (Again In every which way), without doubt, was the Pug 605!

Larry David I think you should attack Funxy - he's clearly too car-rich for the likes of you!
