Going to install a floor in an attic(more of a crawl space) to store Christmas decorations and such stuff in. I am looking for used wood or plywood(trying to do it cheap). My question is does anybody know where would be the best place to look for cheap scraps?

Anywhere that uses pallets may be a good starting point

any sawmills or timber merchants nearby?

my dad often buys real crap timber from a sawmill near home, uses it for concrete formwork and pays pence per foot, comes from the sawmills rubbish heap basically.

pallets are a hoor to recycle/break up cleanly
