Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My parents will be there for four nights, I'm staying two nights in early December.. Any ideas? some sort of concert would be good, not a mad cheesy touristy one though.. think sophisticated...

Was over there a few weeks ago, also for 4 nights. To be honest 4 nights is a bit long, its a small town really. Took a trip to the saltmines - one half day and that was pretty good. You actually go into Bavaria (only 15 mins away) and they bring you up by the Eagles Nest where Hitler and the lads hung out (only thing is that it's closed this time of year.

Loads of coffee shops worth checking out eg. Cerpe Diem and the Mozart one near his square. Restos are ok if you like schnitzel and loads of it :-)

Scenery was very nice, loads of snow this time of year.

    that's about it.

Yeah I suggested to the parents that they go to Vienna for part of it, but my Dad isnt as mobile as he once was, so they dont want to do too much.

One Keano have you been to the Eagles Nest? Was watching my Band Of Brothers dvd the other night and decided to go, possibly next Summer. Whats it like?

They can do the Sound of Music tour if they're into that sort of thing.
