Quiet restaurant in Dublin

    Hello everyone,

    Any recommendations for somewhere
    • Dublin city centre
    • relaxed
    • good food
    • quiet enough to have a conversation
    • "nice" enough that the meal feels like a celebration.

I'm looking for a place to celebrate my exam results AND to host the "meeting of the parents", mine and his (what a combo :D). We like good food (i.e. Chapter One, The Strawberry Tree etc.) but want somewhere that everyone will feel relaxed and we can all have a chat, a bit of a laugh (I hope!) and hang around until we are ready to go. Don't particularly want anywhere too "trendy". A tall order? Any suggestions very much appreciated!

Well one of my favourite restaurants in town is El Bahia

It depends on how conservative everyone is though as some people can't stand the thought of trying ethnic food, but the morrocan stuff is lovely.

Odessa or Bang would be my recommends.

Or perhaps Keatings on Jervis/Mary Street

Thanks for the recommendations. What's Keating's like, I've never heard of it?

I quite like Eden, it's got a really nice atmosphere and delicious food.

Only opened in the last year.

Its a converted Church - very impressive place.

Its a pub but has a proper restaurant etc...

    Worth a try
