Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure if many of you were familar with Nick Clarke of BBC Radio 4, I knew he had cancer but thought he was over it as I heard him back on the radio recently. I was saddened to hear he had just died http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6175786.stm
    may he rest in peace.

That's awful - he made a program about his illness that was broadcast recently, but I too thought he was ok now. :(

    RIP.

Yep I heard that on the way home (had R4 on), I was'nt aware he ws ill mainly due to the fact I hardly listen to R4 for news these days what with fivelive and the Irish channels being my main radio squeezes.

Clarke had an exellent radio voice the sort that you realise is a true asset when listening to others - no names mentioned.

    Mike.

Yes his voice was great to listen to, no matter what he was talking about it was nice to listen to him.
    I'll miss him.

One of the best broadcast journalists ever, imo. I loved his work profiling Alastair Cooke.

Bloody hell. Didn't even know he was sick. I'll miss him on the lunchtime news (which I rarely get to hear these days), something about his voice epitomised R4

    :(
