As the title suggests im looking for a used car, getting my SSIA in april so I should have around 5-6K to play around with.

My info is as follows 19 yo male, 2nd provisional (may have full by april?)
Im kind of looking for something a bit special. I was looking at Alfa 156's but looking at some of the posts they're not that reliable and the insurance for me on a 1.6 might be a bit too excessive. Reliabilty would be foremost I suppose but If I could have looks as well it would be nice. Any ideas/comments?

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I got a quote for a 146 @ 1.5k fully comp (on the provisional), im currently paying 1k as a named driver on a Nissan Almera. Would it make sense to go for a small engine size and build up a no claims bonus before going for a bigger engine?

a 146 is basically a Fiat Tipo, and although the 1.4 is quite nippy, It's nothing to get excited about. (I had one and they're trouble!)

19 year old ??? , how did you get an SSIA at 14??? Am I missing something here?

Personally I would stay clear of an alfa , just would not run the risk of getting a bad one and then forking out a couple of grand on numberous faults.

Aswell dont Quinn not have a limit of 100bhp or so for under 21's , maybe something like a 1.6 skoda octavia , go for one of the high spec ones .

Quinndirect.com - my apologies its 1.6k fully comp on a 1.4 146 TS. Seems pretty good to me too. They give you a discount for having named driver experience apparently or else im reading it wrong.

My mother opened an SSIA account and instead of getting pocket money I got 30euro put in every month. I increased the amount later.

I've heard good things about Skoda alright, will have a look.
