Not sure if this belongs here but it is motor related (mods feel free to move)

This is a bit of a specialist request(and I know it's a long shot/tall order maybe, but!:) )

As title says, need a book on the original mk1 golf GTI outlining the history from idea to production (stuff like: how the idea got off the ground, relationships and roles in the project team, challenges with design, that type of thing)

Anyway if anyone knew of any good books I could get re: this subject I'd be quite pleased!

Maybe place a call to MDL (VW importers for Ireland). They have lots of historical data, but the problem will be finding someone who gives a sh!t. But its worth a call to 01 409 4444.
