    Hi chaps,

I'm in the north city centre of Dublin. About 2 weeks ago my Ripwave Irish Broadband service went to hell. It was working fine until then but now I'm getting shockingly slow speeds especially while gaming.

I pinged their Default Gateway and their DHCP server. Results below.

    My details
    Default Gateway 87.192.206.1
    DHCP server 62.231.62.1
    DNS server 62.231.32.10

    Results for Default Gateway

As you can see I'm getting 66% packet loss! That means that their service is only work 1/3 of the time!

I've been complaining to them for a few days now. I took the time to check out my end of things and everything is fine here.

My question: Anyone else near the Mater/Mountjoy/Frederick St area having the same problems recently? Any joy with their tech support?

    Are they just irredeemedly ****?

This is expected behaviour from IBB.
They claim its to improve service to the Ripwave customers, because instead of wasting resources on delivering your ping replies, its doing something useful, like delivering a webpage...
