it was, but I can't testify that it still is, having sold the last TT about 14mths ago.

It would certainly put me off buying a 225, but if it makes no insurance difference now, then I'd obviously buy one. You still won't be disappointed with a 180, though................

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

it's not that they're bad, it's just that the badge and price will bring with it certain expectations......in terms of power/speed/looks etc it will probably push all your buttons, and the interior is still a work of art, ahead of anything - Porshce included - but, in terms of reliability, etc, it's still very much a Golf, and contrary to popular perception, it's has it's issues. Any Jap coupe will trounce it for reliability.

For me, all the above outweighed the minus', so I got a second one, and wouldn't be put off a 3rd in the right colour/transmission combo......

It's like everything else - every car is worth buying, warts and all, at the right price.........

There's no need to convince, I'm nearly nearly sold, it's just this damn result, it's really ruining it for me
Reliability index of 239.91 for the TT doesn't look good compared with say 68.5 for an A4 (similar expectations?)
or 70.46 for a 3 series, hell even 162.11 for the Fiat Coupe looks good in comparison!
